Board certified in Dermatology as well as Dermatopathology, Dr. Wiley specializes in diagnosing and treating all types of skin problems. He firmly believes that every patient’s problem, no matter how severe or how small, is as important and as unique as that person. In addition to the more common forms of skin cancer such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma, Dr. Wiley in his many years of experience has diagnosed rarer forms of skin cancer such a sebaceous carcinoma, eccrine carcinoma, neuroendocrine carcinoma, B cell lymphoma of the skin, T cell lymphoma of the skin, microcystic adnexal carcinoma, and metastatic cancers to the skin.
While most of Dr. Wiley’s practice involves the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, he believes in treating the whole patient and all of their skin problems–not just one. He treats common but important problems like acne, warts, dermatitis, drug eruptions, shingles, and eczema as well as rarer diseases. Dr. Wiley and his staff work together as a team to care for each patient, but that does not mean that you don’t see the doctor when you are a patient. Dr. Wiley sees and cares for each patient himself. He takes the history, does the examination, discusses his opinion, and either provides whatever treatment is necessary or recommends a course of action.
Dr. Wiley’s free standing South Tampa office is centrally located in the SoHo district of Hyde Park near Berns, Tampa’s iconic restaurant. Easy access from Bayshore Boulevard, the Selmon Expressway, and I-275 combined with ample parking makes it convenient for his many patients who live in Tampa, Brandon, Sun City Center, St. Petersburg, and the surrounding Florida West Coast area. Easy access from the airport serves his patients who live all over the United States and throughout the world. While he does not yet have a patient who lives in Antartica full time, he does have several who spend time there regularly.
Each patient presents a unique combination of life circumstances and health conditions that can only be understood when viewed as a whole.
Led for 30 years by board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist Henry E. Wiley, III, M.D., we offer our patients complete dermatologic care, specializing in skin cancers, moles. and complicated skin conditions. Dr. Wiley sees many patients who come seeking a second opinion or for whom previous treatments have not worked.
Always seeking to understand the bigger picture within the context of each patient’s overall health, Dr. Wiley couples his extensive clinical experience with keen attention to detail. This comprehensive approach enables him to uncover hidden clues that can lead to effective treatment of difficult problems or insights that can lead to potentially life-saving diagnoses. It also enables him to devise a personalized treatment plan, while showing a genuine respect and concern for the patient.
The best solution to each patient’s dermatologic problem requires medical knowledge, experience, wisdom and insight. But attention to detail brings that together to make it work.
